Rose In June
The establishment in question is a Victorian-era pub, believed to have undergone refurbishments in 1911. Currently, the pub is divided into two distinct sections. To the left, you'll find the saloon, as indicated by the inscription on one of the door panels. On the right, there's the public bar, which is thought to have been split into two separate areas in the past. Both sections feature bar counters with identical detailing, although the one on the right seems to have been stripped of the dark stain that is still visible on the left counter. A standout feature of the left section is the L-shaped bar-back, adorned with cut-glass mirrors. This piece is especially remarkable due to its curved cornice, which is embellished with cherubs highlighted in gold.
