Phoenix
Constructed in 1937, this establishment boasts two spacious bars, both featuring fielded panelling on the walls and original bar counters. However, these elements have been updated with a fresh coat of pastel grey paint. The lounge area is equipped with two bar-back fittings, although the one in the public bar is of a more contemporary design. Both bars also feature original tiled fireplaces, adding a touch of vintage charm. The bottle and jug area is partially preserved, still possessing its back fitting. However, the space that was once used as an off-sales shop has been converted into a cellar. The building also houses four fully functional toilets. Interestingly, when the pub was initially built, patrons had to exit and re-enter through a different door to access these facilities.
