Caernarfon and Denbigh Herald
Gwynedd is a county on the north west mainland of Wales. In the northern part of the county main areas include Bangor and Caernarfon while further south you will see the towns of Porthmadog, Pwllheli and Harlech. The county has a high penetration of Welsh speakers and has a rich cultural history. Music festivals such as Wakestock and Festival No6 attract large numbers to the area. Gwynedd is also home to Portmeirion, the Italianate village that was the setting for television's The Prisoner.
