The Dedication

Vienna 1902 – 1910, the time of Freud, Klimt and the birth of the Modern Movement.
Alma is twenty-one, beautiful, clever, talented and an aspiring composer. Torn between marriage to the famous Gustav Mahler and the younger, less celebrated Zemlinsky, her teacher, and supporter of her musical ambitions, she marries Mahler knowing that as his future wife he has forbidden her to compose. Renowned today mainly as a femme fatale, what influence does this have on her future, and on her relationship with Mahler?
This psychological drama written by Claire Novello and directed by Kenneth Michaels, marks sixty years since Alma Mahler's death, and still resonates today.
